Abstract

The lock (36) is suitable for use on a door which can be operated from a wheelchair. Such a door possesses a door leaf (1) which is articulated on a lower and an upper arm (3) and which is movable along the paths (A, B) by means of a guide. The lock (36) has a first lock part (36') possessing a pushbutton (37) and a second lock part (36") possessing a pushbutton (37'). Irrespective of the side on which the user, for example the wheelchair driver, is located, he finds the pushbutton (37, 37') in the position suitable for operation. Each pushbutton (37, 37') can be operated in the same direction of rotation in order to open the door. In the opposite direction of rotation, locking is possible by the pushbutton (37), in that the latch bolt (41) is blocked by the bolt arm (93). <IMAGE>
