Abstract

Known bed operating apparatuses can be held in the hand of a patient and when not being used are plugged into a wall bracket. The new bed operating apparatus is intended to facilitate the operation of the same. The bed operating apparatus (1) is fastened to a pivotable bent arm (11) or to a post, and has a holder (10) for a telephone (9), connected to the bed operating apparatus (1), in the form of a hand set with built-in push button dialling. The bed operating apparatus is particularly suited to communication systems in hospitals and nursing homes since it can be taken hold of at any time via the pivotable bent arm and, by virtue of the connected telephone, permits the use of a wide variety of services. <IMAGE>
