Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Schuppenpanzer für Luftbereifungen, bei dem die in bekannter Weise in einer Gewebehülle dachförmig übereinanderliegenden Panzerplatten in ihrem Träger ohne jegliches Vernähen, Verschnüren oder sonstige andere Mittel befestigt und gegen jegliche Verschiebung gesichert sind. Gegenüber den bekannten Schuppenpanzern ist daher der vorliegende in seiner Herstellung einfacher und billiger. Nähte oder'Verschnürungen können beim Erfindungsgegenstand nicht platzen, weil keine vorhanden sind, während bei den bekannten Schutzpanzern, bei denen Nähte bzw. Der Schuppenpanzer für Luftbereifungen besteht gemäß der Erfindung aus an sich bekannten Stahlplättchen«.
