In überakustischen Räumen, d.h. in Räumen mit starkem Nachhall, wie in Kirchen u. dgl., ist die Verständlichkeit durch die Nachhallwirkung oft außerordentlich er-S schwert. Diese Schallführungen können unauffällig untergebracht sein, zumal es nicht erforderlich ist, direkte Schallöffnungen vorzusehen, sondern es oft ausreicht, an den Stellen, an denen ein Schalldurchtritt gewünscht ist, Material einzusetzen, das dem Schalldurchtritt einen sehr geringen Widerstand entgegensetzt. Anwendung kann diese Anordnung finden z. B. in Kirchenbänken, um den in den Bänken Sitzenden die Predigt des Kanzelredners in dem überakustischen Raum leicht verständlich über Mikrophon- und Verstärkeranordnung übermitteln zu können, oder auch in Konferenzräumen, in denen eine große Zahl von Teilnehmern vorhanden ist oder die Umgebung mit Störgeräuschen erfüllt ist.
