For the selective detection of a ground fault devices have become known which display the currents flowing to earth within the apparatus to be monitored. It becomes the one in the Total current flowing into the system part measured. For non-earthed power generators or converters, generators or transformers are used to increase the sensitivity A loadable zero point is connected to the network and grounded via resistors. Compare for earthed devices usually the total current flowing into the system part with the current occurring in the earth fault connection a differential circuit which, when a difference occurs, the device for Appeals. The earth fault voltage is also often used to increase the sensitivity used.
In such devices, the capacitance of the windings now counteracts Earth harmful insofar as it creates a capacity current that flows in all Phases is rectified and thus an asymmetry current or a ground fault current represents. This capacitive current therefore deceives the protective device as a ground fault and thus leads to unwelcome trips.
These disadvantages are avoided by the invention in that the zero point of the apparatus to be monitored regardless of a further earth fault connection is connected to earth via an inductance that opposes the capacitance of the windings the housing corresponds completely or nearly. This inductance therefore compensates for the Capacity of the winding against the housing in the same way as the well-known Petersen coil the capacity of the network to earth. The arrangement is independent of whether there is another earth fault connection or not.
In Abb. A generator 1 is connected to the network RST , in the connecting line of which three current transformers 2 are placed, the secondary circuits of which are in Holmgren circuit and are led to an amperometric or wattmetric earth-fault relay 3. The zero point of the generator 1 is then grounded according to the invention via an inductance 4, which corresponds to the capacitance of the windings of the generator 1 with respect to the housing. Since this earth connection has an almost isolating effect on the zero point, a loadable zero point 5 is connected to the network in a known manner in order to influence the earth fault current and is earthed via appropriately dimensioned resistors 6. If the earth fault relay is 3 wattmetric, then its voltage coil can be connected to the inductance 4

oder die Widerstandskombination 6 angeschlossen werden.or the resistor combination 6 can be connected.
In Fig. 2 is an embodiment of the Invention for a grounded generator ι shown. The supply lines and the earth fault connection are performed in a known manner via a common converter 7 the secondary winding of which the earth fault relay 3 is connected. According to the invention is now the zero point of generator 1 except through the actual earth connection connected to earth via a choke coil 4. The voltage of the earth leakage relay 3 is removed from the ground fault coil 4.
