Violette Pigmentfarben Es wurde gefunden, daß man kalk- und zementechte violette Pigmentfarben, die den bisher im Handel befindlichen, wie Ultramarin-, .Mangan- und Kobaltviolett, in den farbtechnischen Eigenschaften überlegen sind, dadurch erhalten kann, daß man den bekannten roten Mineralfarben aus Mischkristallen von Bariumsulfat und Alkalipermanganat anorganische Blaupigmente, z. B. Ultramarinblau oder Thenardsblau (Kobaltaluminat) oder Coelinblau (Kobaltstannet), oder als Pigmente verwendbare organische blaue Farbstoffe, z. B. Indanthrenblau (vgl. S c 1i u 1 t z , Farbstofftabellen, 837), Fanalblau (s. Colour Index [ 192e Nr. 672) oder Brilliantindigo (s. Farbstofftabellen i c Nr. 885), trocken oder als, Paste zumischt. Die Menge des zuzumischenden Blaus richtet sich nach der gewünschten Farbnuance. Da zur Erzeugung eines schönen violetten Farbtones nur geringe Mengen von Blau benötigt werden, können auf diese Weise außerordentlich billige violette Farben erzeugt werden, die völlig licht- und kalkecht sind. Infolge der feinen Verteilung der Farbteilchen besitzen die beschriebenen Mischfarben große Farbstärke und gute Deckkraft, so däß sie sehr gut noch mit Füllstoffen, wie Titanweiß, Schwerspat u. a., verschnitten werden können.
