Da die heifse Luft mit den Verbrennungsgasen der Einschnürung zuströmen mufs, so wird von oben aus frische Luft in Richtung gegen das Brennmaterial geführt, wodurch sowohl die Verbrennungsgase mit frischer Luft in Berührung kommen, vollständig verbrennen und auch die kleinen Kokstheilchen zurückgeworfen werden.
