Den Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bildet ein Phonograph mit parallel zur Phonogrammcylinderwelle bewegten Schreib- und Sprechinstrumenten, bei welchem die Aufzeichnung der Schallwelleneindrücke derart bewirkt wird, dafs dieselben sich als eine Aufeinanderfolge von mehr oder weniger streng kreisförmig umschriebenen Vertiefungen darstellt, deren Weite im Verhältnifs zur Tiefe stehen und deren Wandungen sich in hohlem Bogen nach dem Mittelpunkt einsenken, so dafs jeder Theil der Eintiefung die Aufzeichnung der betreffenden Schallwelle enthält und eine geeignet gestaltete Sprechspitze durch Berührung mit einem beliebigen Punkt der Eintiefung beim Eindringen in dieselbe die zur Wiedererzeugung der Schallwelle geeignete Bewegung empfängt, wodurch die so überaus lästige Bedingung entfällt, dafs, wie bisher, die Sprechspitze streng lothrecht in die Einschreibung eintreten mufs und dafür der Vortheil erreicht wird, dafs das Instrument klar auch dann spricht, wenn die Sprechspitze infolge von Erschütterungen aus der Lothrechten herausgeht.The subject of the present invention is a phonograph with a cylinder shaft parallel to the phonogram moving writing and speaking instruments, in which the recording of the sound wave impressions is effected in this way becomes that the same are more or less strictly circular as a succession circumscribed depressions, the width of which is in proportion to the depth and the walls of which sink in a hollow arc towards the center, so that each one Part of the depression contains the recording of the sound wave in question and one suitable designed speaking tip by touching any point of the recess when penetrating into it, the movement suitable for regenerating the sound wave receives, which eliminates the extremely troublesome condition that, as before, the speaking tip The registration must be strictly perpendicular and the advantage achieved becomes that the instrument speaks clearly even when the speaking tip as a result of vibrations goes out of the Lothrerecht.

Damit die Sprechspitze sich von selbst in die bett öthigte Stellung hineinschwingen kann, wenn der Hebel q durch Erschütterungen aufser Linie mit der Einschreibung gerathen sollte, greift durch einen Schlitz s im Hebel q ein Stift t, der beiderseits in den Ansätzen u u einer bei w am Gehäuse drehbar angehängten Platte ν lagert, welche durch das an der gegenüberliegenden Gehäuseseite angeordnete Stück χ am Fallen verhindert wird. Diese Platte ν bildet ein auf der Schreibspitze lastendes Gewicht, welches immer gegen den Boden der Einschreibung zu halten strebt, wobei der Schlitz s leichte seitliche Schwankung genannter Spitze zuläfst, so dafs, wenn auch der Hebel q aufser Linie mit der Einschreibung gerathen ist, die Spitze selbst doch in die benöthigte Stellung hineinschwingen kann. Zugleich bildet das Gewicht ν auch eine.
