Mit Hilfe dieses Riegels kann die Sperrklinke sowohl in ihrer eingeklinkten Stellung als auch in ihrer freien Stellung gesichert werden. Darnach wird die Bindeschnur in der Mitte unter dem auf die erforderliche Länge zusammengepreßten Kardenbandwickel durchgezogen und über den Kardenbandwickel 31 oben zurückgeführt zu der festen Stirnplatte 7, 8, 9, 10. Etwa in der Mitte der nach vorn weisenden Stirnfläche des Kardenbandwickels 31 wird dann die Bindeschnur mit ihrem .die geschlossene Schleife 30' tragenden Ende gekreuzt, wie dies aus Abb. 4 ersichtlich ist. Das Kreuzen kann indessen auch so erfolgen, daß das freie Bindeschnurende oben zu liegen kommt. Nunmehr wird die Schnur nach links in die Höhe der waagrechten Mittelebene des Kardenban-.lwickels direkt über dem Holzfutter und den Seitenwänden um den Wickel herumgeführt, so daß das Ende, wie aus Abb. 5 ersichtlich, auf der rechten Seite des Kardenbandwickels frei liegt.
