Abstract

The door hinge has a hinge part (1) attached to the automobile door, provided with a hinge pin (3) and a hinge part (2) attached to the door column, provided with a housing (6) receiving the hinge pin. A retaining device (F) within the housing has 2 braking elements (13,14) respectively attached to the hinge pin and the housing, coupled together for preventing rotation of the hinge pin and released to allow its rotation by de-activation of a pressure device (D) via an operating device (B) with a control element attached to the hinge pin cooperating with a control profile (22) provided by a component of the retaining device.
