Description
Automatic electrical emergency lighting The emergency lighting described below, in contrast to the most common emergency lighting, has a main lamp fed by an alternating current network and a small emergency lamp which only lights up when the mains current fails and which is fed by an accumulator connected to the alternating current network via a rectifier , a small emergency lamp that burns all the time. One or more emergency lamps NL are primarily supplied by the secondary coil S of a transformer Tr. An accumulator A, which is also charged by the secondary coil S with the aid of the one-way rectifier GI, is parallel to the emergency lamp NL. The voltage of the direct current and the emergency lamp must normally be slightly higher than that of the accumulator so that the accumulator receives a bit of excess voltage and thus remains fully charged, i.e. does not feed the emergency lamp NL as long as mains current is available: The lamp only burns when this fails from the accumulator without switching over to take place. A contact K is built in so that the emergency lamp NL can be switched off if it is not supposed to be on when the mains is de-energized. This contact can be set in motion from two points, namely for the purpose of switching on the magnet coil R and for switching off the magnet coil F. Instead of the latter coil F, it can also be switched off by hand. The solenoid R is in series with the rectifier V serving as a valve on the secondary coil S. The valve V has two functions. Firstly, it uses the second half-wave (the first is used to charge the accumulator via GI) in order to attract contact K again after switching off as soon as the mains current returns (automatic switching on). The contact K holds particularly firmly and securely because the coil R is only fed with direct current.
Second, the valve h protects the rectifier GI from the second, Half-wave damaging the rectifier by diverting it via the coil R.
The switch Sch can also be magnetic by hand and through the coil F be moved. The latter happens in all cases where remote release is provided is. The coil F is in this case of a to be switched independently of the main line special line fed.
The new circuit makes emergency lighting the simplest Connection to alternating current created, which works particularly reliably.
