Abstract

The lower limit of the anode cell inner chamber is formed by a smooth wall of an anolyte channel connected to the anolyte lines. A number of openings (13) for the anolytes are formed in the wall. The plate-like anode hangs inside the anode cell and ends with its upper edge at a certain distance above the wall and the openings. Anode cell comprises a housing in the form of a flat box with frame (1), a back wall (2), an ion exchange membrane (3) forming the front wall and supported by a lattice (4), a plate-like anode, anolyte connections for the feed and removal lines and anolyte lines (7) running from the connections into the lower end region of the cell. The lower limit of the anode cell inner chamber is formed by a smooth wall of an anolyte channel connected to the anolyte lines. A number of openings (13) for the anolytes are formed in the wall. The plate-like anode hangs inside the anode cell and ends with its upper edge at a certain distance above the wall and the openings.
