Description
Linie dichtet.Pipe connection in which the conical end faces of the two to connecting pipes lie one inside the other and the conical surface of one pipe becomes steeper drops than that of the other pipe The invention relates to a pipe connection for Compressed air, water and steam lines, in which the nested end surfaces of the two tubes to be connected by means of a union nut are conical are. In such pipe connections, it is known, the conical surface of the one Pipe to drop more steeply than that of the other pipe, so not area comes to rest on the surface, but the seal only takes place on a line. Further it is known in a tongue and groove seal that the tongue fall off towards the groove so that they too are in the groove only on the. Line seals.
In these known pipe connections there is the disadvantage that the Abztidichtende cutting edge is free and exposed, mostly still protruding from the pipe end and so easily exposed to damage. This evil is caused by the present invention solved by the fact that the sealing cutting edge of the weaker sloping pipe is laid in a recess so that it is no longer free and lies open. This relocation of the cutting edge has the advantage that it against injury and damage during the transport of the pipes and also when they are assembled, they are preserved, since they are undamaged and smooth Line. The good seal of the whole pipe connection depends.
Es zeigen: Abb. r einen Längsschnitt durch die Verbindung zweier Rohrenden, A:bb. a einen Ouerschnitt von A-B.An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing. They show: Fig. R a longitudinal section through the connection of two pipe ends, A: bb. a a cross section of AB.
The two tubes a and b are connected to one another in a known manner by the union nut c. The tube a has a conical surface d with which it is pressed firmly against the cutting edge f of the likewise conical surface e of the pipe b when the union nut c is tightened. So that the conical surfaces d and e of the two pipes or pipe sleeves a and b do not lie on top of each other and the seal is only made by a cutting edge f , the cone d of the pipe a is steeper than the cone e of the pipe b. The cutting edge f is placed in a recess g in order to give it protection during transport and assembly of the pipes. To connect the lines, branch h is expediently attached near the screw connection. Instead of the pipes, it is of course also possible to form pipe sleeves according to the present invention; these would then be connected to the pipes in a known manner.
