Description
Method for isolating the sub-conductors from completely or approximately rectangular Overall conductors, which are made by stranding rectangular, each other by oxidized Metal tape, in particular aluminum tape, insulated sub-conductors are produced It is known, sub-conductors of rectangular cross-section, which form an overall conductor be joined together by a completely or approximately rectangular cross-section to isolate the interposed oxidized aluminum tape from each other. The attachment however, this insulation presents difficulties with ladders that are made by sanding as it is known from the manufacture of ropes, and afterwards possibly still to be compressed. When stranding the insulating tape, especially if the resulting shape has a cross-section that differs from the round one, which approaches a rectangle with short and long sides over its narrow one Edge must be bent, which is difficult or impossible to implement in practice. But it is precisely the use of stranded and compressed ladders of metallic insulating tape is extremely important, as fiber insulation difficult to insert not only when stranding, but also when compressing is also always destroyed.
Oxidized aluminum can now also be used in the cases mentioned, if you do not use continuous tape according to the invention, but the tape inserts in individual pieces between the conductors to be insulated from one another. the Pieces are advantageously chosen so large that on each broad side of the overall conductor between every two turns of two sub-conductors there is a piece of oxidized tape, Instead of the oxidized aluminum, any other oxidized metal can also be used be used, the oxide layer of which is sufficient for the required insulation.
The invention is illustrated in the drawing by means of an exemplary embodiment. Z, 2, 3 and 4 denote conductors which are wound next to one another by stranding around an axis are, initially an overall conductor of round or approximately angular cross-section was formed, which has also been pressed together so that a rod with two broad and two narrow sides emerged. According to the invention, there is now the Isolation between any two conductors does not consist of a single continuous stranded conductor oxidized metal tape, but from individual interposed pieces of this kind Band. In the example given, there are individual ones on the front of the rod Pieces = 2, 23 and 34 placed between the turns of sub-conductors x, 2, 3 and 4, on the also flat back the pieces i2 ', 23' and 34. On the narrow sides no special pieces are inserted. The arrangement shown gives a special one easy insulation between conductors as it keeps the number of pieces to a minimum limited.
