Der Vorwärmer erhält hierdurch einen vergrößerten Zugquerschnitt, der wiederum die Möglichkeit schafft, die Zuggeschwindigkeit ohne Erhöhung des Zugverlustes zu steigern. Die stete Veränderung des Zugquerschnittes veranlaßt die Gase zu einer dauernden Durchwirbelung und bringt die Gase zu einer innigen Berührung mit der Heizfläche. Trotz der geneigten Rohrlage sind die Abschlußwände sicher gegen Verschiebung verriegelt. Das größere, b, ist zweiteilig und ermöglicht das Auswechseln eines einzelnen schadhaften Rohres. Das kleinere Zwischenstück d ist einteilig. Beide Zwischenstücke besitzen Kragen, mit denen sie die Rohrflansche a und die Türchen e bzw. Zwischenstücke c gegen Verschieben sichern.
