Die Erfindung betrifft ein elektrisches Heizkissen und besteht darin, daß die beiden Breitseiten der flachen Heizquelle durch zwei als Wärmespeicher dienende Metallplatten von hoher Wärmekapazität unmittelbar eingeschlossen sind, die ihrerseits von einer an sich bekannten, die Wärme schlecht leitenden und das teilweise oder ganz aus dünnem Blech bestehende Gehäuse erfüllenden Masse derart ίο umgeben sind, daß eine Stromzufuhr von nur wenigen Minuten genügt, die Metallplatten stark zu erhitzen. Im Innern des Heizkissens ist eine flache elektrische Heizbatterie angeordnetj und die beiden Enden des Heizdrahtes dieser Batterie stehen mit dem Plus- und Minuspol 3 und 4 in leitender Verbindung. Zu beiden Seiten der flachen Heizbatterie 5 ausNickelindraht sind zwei als Wärmespeicher dienende Metallplatten 6, 6' angeordnet, die zweckmäßig miteinander verbunden sind.
