Description
Process for the production of calcium bisulfite liquor from phosphate-containing Chalks It is known that large amounts of calcium bisulfite lye are used in the pulp industry are consumed. This is generally obtained in such a way that sulphurous acid directly as a cooled roasting gas in the presence of water over limestone or Dolomite paints. The rock is abandoned in the form of large pieces. For the purpose Large towers are required with extensive utilization of the sulphurous acid high costs for installation, maintenance and upkeep.
It is also known to be mechanically enriched by washing To treat phosphate-containing chalk with sulphurous acid (roasting gases), besides a calcium bisulfite phosphate is obtained, which is then separated by further exposure to sulphurous acid is converted into dicalcium phosphate. The resulting calcium bisulfite liquor is reintroduced into the process.
The present invention relates to simultaneous recovery a calcium bisulfite liquor and tricalcium phosphate. It becomes chalk containing phosphate, an earthy, easily friable material, in pieces or ground, raw or annealed, expediently in constant movement, without prior mechanical draining of the action exposed to sulphurous acid. This dissolves when working properly initially only the carbonate of lime, which is in the form of chalk, while the phosphate and the impurities are only insignificantly attacked and than Residue remain. But before the hot roasting gases with the phosphate-containing chalk come together, they will - and therein lies the novelty of the present invention - Passed over the phosphate left over from the process after it has been washed. In addition to drying through the heat of the gases, this is a particular advantage achieved that the residual content of phosphate in carbonate of lime by itself annoying SO3 content of the roasting gases is further reduced and the phosphate mass Obtained essentially as tri-phasic phosphoric acid lime in a loose consistency will.
