An einem Holzbrett A ist ein Gufsstück -B befestigt; dieses ist aus der Buchse C und den beiden Lagern D und D¹ zusammengesetzt. In der Buchse bewegt sich eine Welle E auf und nieder, welche an ihrem oberen Ende mit einem Zahnrad F und an ihrem unteren Ende mit einer Platte oder Waschscheibe G verbunden ist. In dem Lager D dreht sich um den Stift s ein mit einem Handgriff J versehener Hebel H. - Parallel mit diesem bewegt sich im Lager D¹ die Gelenkstange K. Hebel und Stange sind durch eine um die Stifte t und i¹ bewegliche Zahnstange Z verbunden. Wird nun der Hebel in der Richtung nach h in Bewegung gesetzt, so kommt vermittelst der Zahnstange Z und des Zahnrades F die Welle E und damit zugleich auch die Scheibe G in rotirende und gleichzeitig auf- und niedergehende Bewegung. Ein Gleiches ist bei der nach der entgegengesetzten Seite von h erfolgenden Bewegung des Hebels der Fall, so dafs durch diese Manipulationen die im Behälter der Waschmaschine befindlichen Wäschestücke einer Reibung ausgesetzt werden, welche der beim Waschen mit der Hand entstehenden entspricht.
