Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Befestigungsvorrichtung für die langen Läufe von. automatischen Waffen irgendwelcher Art, wie z. B. für Gewehre und Maschinengewehre. Die Vorrichtung muß so ausgebaut sein, daß sie ein schnelles Auswechseln des Laufes ermöglicht, ohne daß dabei irgendwelche Werkzeuge notwendig sind. Das Auswechseln muß auch sogar beim Schießen vorgenommen werden können, ohne daß der Bedienungsmann genötigt ist, sich dem Feuer des Feindes auszusetzen. Die hierbei zu überwindenden Schwierigkeiten liegen vor allem in dem hohen Gewicht der Läufe, mit denen die automatischen Waffen und besonders die Maschinengewehre ausgestattet sind.
