Zur leichten Handhabung haben die Steine Aussparungen k und p, in die man mit Haken eingreifen kann. Ist ein Schlußstein schadhaft, so werden ohne Befahren und ohne weitgehende Abkühlung des. Feuerraumes die vor diesem Schlußstein hängenden Steine herausgehoben, worauf der schadhafte Stein vom Träger l abgezogen und ein neuer von oben her eingesetzt und auf den Träger aufgeschoben wird.
