Im Laufe der Jahre hat sich herausgestellt, daß Membranen aus Leder, Ballonstoff o. dgl., welche durch Fette, ,Öle oder Firnis gasdicht gemacht wurden, im Dauerbetrieb für Gasdruckfernzünder nicht standhielten. Das Gas oder seine Beimischungen zersetzte langsam das Leder o. dgl. und seine Dichtungsbestandteile, und die Membran wurde undicht und gasdurchlässig. Der Fernzünder mußte somit versagen und arbeitete nicht mehr. Bei Gasdruckfernzündern mit einem Hub von etwa z mm hat man sich dadurch geholfen, daß man Metallscheiben lamellenartig zusammensetzte und als Huborgan für Fernzünder mit sehr kleinem Hub benutzte. Bei Fernzündern mit hohem Hub von etwa bis 2o mm war dies nicht durchführbar, da eine derartig hohe Durchbiegung bei Metallmembranen technisch undurchführbar ist. Um dies zu erreichen, werden nach der Erfindung die Leder-, Stoff- oder sonstigen Membranen auf kaltem oder chemischem Wege fein metallisiert, z. B. nach dem Metallspritzverfahren. Die Membran behält durch diesen feinen Überzug, welcher ein- oder zweiseitig sein kann, ihre Geschmeidigkeit und läßt sich ohne weiteres für Fernzünder mit hohem Hub verwenden.Membrane for gas pressure remote igniter.
