Description

Die aus gesponnenem Roßhaar bestehenden Schmierpolster für die Achslager von Eisenbahnen und Straßenbahnen hat man bisher in der Weise hergestellt, daß man aus den Roßhaarsträingen ein rechteckiges Paket formte raid dieses mit Band umnähte. Die in dieser Weise hergestellten Schmierpolster habenden Nachteil, daß sie nach, einer gewissen Verwendungszeit unbrauchbar werden und sich nicht wieder benutzen lassen. Ist das Roßhaar mit Unreinigkeiten vollgesaugt, die seine Saugfähigkeit beeinträchtigen, so ist es nicht angängig, das ganze Paket oder die nach dem Abtrennen des Bandes zusammenhängenden einzelnen Roßhaarsitränge auszuwaschen.
