Description
Method of color correction for photographic based products Printing forms. The invention relates to methods of making photomechanical Printing forms and especially the production of color-correct negatives (raster or Halftone) for copies on stone or metal.
The purpose is achieved according to the following procedure: As Carriers for the photosensitive layer are used instead of the previous ones flawless, smooth glass plates such as those used by manual or machine operation are provided with a fine grain. These can, for example, be made of glass, metal, Made of hard rubber or another material. As far as these records are not by nature are already black or can be blackened by a chemical process, they are blackened by applying a black dye solution to the grain surface of the plate applies. Before the preparation with the light-sensitive layer, one provides the Plate to better adhere this layer and also to protect against the eventual black color solution with a sub-preparation, e.g. B. a thin gelatin solution. These plates prepared in this way are earthed after preparation with a light-sensitive Layer exposed in the apparatus without an upstream grid. The result is halftone recordings which are treated exactly as in the usual negative process. After the fixation the following good washing, the absorption is increased by means of lead or copper intensifiers, but not blackened or colored. The reinforcement must be washed out particularly well so that after the recording has dried (read negative pure white as positive is visible on your black ground in the supervision. This positive can be Quickly retouch using black and white colors. Of the retouched positive dismantled negatives are produced with a grid in front of it, which are free from the color defects that are always present. The transfer of these raster negatives on stone or metal happens in the usual `` '' way. Through .this The process is the production of color-correct printing forms with the slightest removal of photographic color errors achieved without the printing forms themselves being corrected to be attacked.
