Der Stern besitzt statt vier Zacken jetzt acht, die sich dem runden Kern besser anpassen als die ursprünglichen vier Zacken. Bei dieser Ausführungsform legt man zuerst die kürzeren Zacken k, I, m, η wahllos um und bildet dann durch die längeren Zacken k', V, m', n' das Flechtmuster.
