Description
One branch of the bridge circuit, Fig. I, consists of three electrodes tube whose cathode 2 and anode i are connected to the bridge lines. The others Bridge branches consist of ohmic resistances that are balanced so that through the winding 3 normally flows a certain current. Grid and cathode of the Tube q. are connected to the mains terminals 6 and 7 via a potentiometer 5. Of the Resistance of the tube is highly dependent on the voltage applied between grids and cathode lies. It is therefore clear that mains voltage fluctuations that affect grid and cathode of the tube ¢ come from the mains, change the bridge setting and thus the current flowing through the winding 3. This winding 3 is the winding of the field of an additional machine that is in series with the network. The bridge will balanced in such a way that the mains voltage fluctuations which are exerted on the grid of the tube q. get through the current flowing through the winding 3 of the field magnets of the additional machine flows, be precisely compensated. This compensation takes place momentarily when entering of voltage fluctuations.
