Vor den verticalen Dämpferdrähten einer Pianinomechanik ist ein System diagonal verlaufender Drähte D mittelst eines Rahmens JR, Fig. 5, angebracht, von welchem jeder Draht von dem Stofshebel einer Taste nach aufwärts zum Dämpferknie der nächst höheren Octave verläuft. An den beiden Enden ist dieser Diagonaldraht, Fig. 1, senkrecht nach oben bezw. unten umgebogen und mit einer horizontalen, befilzten Stofsplatte versehen. Beide verticalen Enden des.Drahtes verlaufen durch zwei am Rahmen befestigte Führungshülsen a und b, Fig. 1 und 2; die Anordnung der Hülsen ist derartig, dafs No. 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 u. s. w. auf der Vorderseite des Rahmens, No. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 u. s. w. auf der Hinterseite desselben liegen. Es wird hierdurch den Diagonaldrähten mehr Spielraum gewährt und ein Zusammenstofsen derselben beim Spielen verhindert.
