Description
Blattfeder. Leaf spring. Leaf springs are already known in which between the individual sheets are provided with intermediate layers of metal, which are intended to reduce the friction between the spring leaves or use a spring quickly increasing load capacity. In these known arrangements, however, are the Intermediate layers with the individual spring leaves are not connected to metal, so that the spring is not protected from rusting. Furthermore, it is already known at such arrangements to clad individual spring leaves on one side with brass, while the other side remains free. Although this arrangement means opposite the previous one improvement; but even with this the spring will rust not prevented because one side is not provided with a metallic coating is.
The subject of the present invention is a further improvement of these known arrangement, namely the invention consists in that each individual sheet is completely covered with a metal layer. A soft, lubricating metal, e.g. B. tin, zinc, lead, or one of their alloys is used, so that the spring is lubricated and protected against rusting at the same time. The production of the metal coating can best be done using the known metal spraying process because it is possible to apply the coating without the spring exposed to the influence of acids or excessive heating, as caused by the known processes (immersion process, galvanic process).
