Abstract

The refrigerator or freezer has a door having a peripheral seal and an adjustable handle on the door which opens on air path into the freezer when the door is closed. When the handle (13,14) is actauted a restricted section (18) of the seal (4) is lifted up from a bearing edge (3) of the door. The handle (13) preferably has an actuation tongue (14) at a cranked angle for engaging in a resilient fold (8) of the seal (4).
