Description

Grate made of rotating ring plates for gas generators. There are already gas generators that have ring-shaped, equiaxed grates that can be moved at different speeds. However, these grids cannot be emptied because the annular gaps are too narrow. If the gap is wide, however, the powdery material to be fired will continuously flow off. The grids would then not be able to fulfill their second task, that of breaking, because if the gaps are narrow, the slag glides on the grates without getting into the ring-shaped gaps in which they are to be crushed first: are the gaps but far, the material to be fired will flow away and it will not be possible to maintain a fire. According to the invention, the ring plates of the grate lying on top of one another and rotating at different speeds are designed in such a way that each lower ring has a smaller diameter than the next upper ring and projects beyond its central opening. There is still enough space left between the individual rings for embankments to form. When a ring is rotated, the slope begins to flatten and the part of the property that reaches the edge of the ring can fall. As a result, each ring empties independently of its neighboring one, so that by giving one of the rings a more or less rapid movement, an automatic emptying is achieved. Such a grate is shown in the drawing. A and B are rotatable rings. The ring A is driven by means of the bevel gears C, D from a countershaft which is housed in the housing E. The shaft G and a bevel gear F seated on it can rotate the ring B in the opposite direction by means of the ring H. Both grids can be done by hand, e.g. B. be rotated by means of the handwheel I or automatically, continuously or only temporarily. Under the middle opening of the ring B there is a solid disk.
