Abstract

1. Clasp for a metal bracelet (3) consisting of members pivoted together, said clasp comprising a first part (1) which is pivoted to one end of the bracelet (3) and on which is pivoted an intermediate member (4) having an end bent into the shape of a hook (20) and intended to engage behind a bar (13) of a second part (2) pivoted to the other end of the bracelet and to be folded back over the first part by pulling the second part of the clasp towards the first part and bringing a portion of said second part of the clasp into engagement with a profile of the first part of the clasp, characterized by the fact that the clasp is entirely composed of segments of sectional bars, said first and second parts each being composed of two sectional bar segments (5, 6 and 11, 12 respectively) connected to the members of the bracelet (3) by pins (9, 14), the two segments (5, 6) of the first part being in addition connected by an intermediate bar (8) and an end bar (7), and the two segments (11, 12) of the second part of the clasp being connected by an end bar (13), by the fact that the intermediate member (4) is composed of a segment of a tubular section of the flat type having on the one hand a part (21 ; 23 ; 24, 25) by which it is pivoted on the end bar (7) of the first part of the clasp at a point situated at a certain distance from one end (22) of the flat profile, and on the other hand a slot (19) whose width is at least equal to the diameter of the end bar (13) of the second part of the clasp and which is situated at a certain distance from the other end of the interior of the flat tubular profile, in such a manner as to form a hook (20), said slot being intended for the engagement of said bar (13) in the profile (18), and by the fact that the facing ends of the two parts of the clasp have paired profiles (16, 17) in such a manner that said ends interengage through their paired profiles when they are superimposed on the folding back of the intermediate member (4) over the first part of the clasp.
