Wie in der genannten Literaturstelle ausgeführt, bietet diese "aktive" Vorheizung der Verbrennungsluft den Vorteil, daß die Maschine, in dem dort behandelten Fall eine Dieselmaschine, auch bei relativ niedriger Ver- dichtungsverhältnis startwillig ist, also die mit einer Erhöhung des Verdichtungsverhältnisses und damit der Verdichtungstemperatur verbundenen Nachteile, wie relativ starkes Nageln und enge Fertigungstoleranzen, vermieden werden können.
