Abstract

1. A sensor for monitoring systems with a casing containing a pyroelectric detector and which has at least one bore and an infrared-transmitting window, the detector being connected to evaluation electronics, wherein the sensor has a two-part, substantially air-impermeable modular casing, whereof one half is substantially completely filled with a plastic sealing compound, in which the detector is embedded in such a way that only the top surface containing the window projects from the sealing compound, an air duct passing from the bore to the cavity arranged in the facing casing half and on whose front surface are provided an infrared-transmitting, membrane-like, thin foil and an approximately diameter 0.3 mm hole.
