Abstract

For operating an output device in connection with a data terminal, an output control is provided, which is connected directly to the receiving line running between a data link and the data terminal. Die Schnittstelle für den Anschluß von Zusatzgeräten innerhalb der Gerätesteuerung ist demnach zwangsläufig nur für vorbestimmte Typen der jeweiligen Geräteart ausgelegt. Damit ist der Benutzer von vornherein auf eine bestimmte Marke oder Type eines Zusatzgerätes festgelegt, wenn er sich für ein bestimmtes Bildschirmtextendgerät entscheidet. Mit anderen Worten: Es können nur solche Zusatzgeräte angeschlossen werden, wofür die Schnittstelle innerhalb der Gerätesteuerung des betreffenden Endgerätes ausgelegt ist. Die jeweils dafür notwendigen Prozeduren werden in Form von Befehlsfolgen in nicht dargestellten Speichern abgelegt, zu denen der Mikrocomputer MC Zugang hat. Der Mikrocomputer MC steuert außerdem den Seitenspeicher SSP, so daß die über die Anschlußleitung AL einlaufenden Daten zunächst zwischengespeichert werden. Es werden soviele Daten gespeichert, wie das Datenausgabegerät AG jeweils auf einer Ausgabeeinheit, beispielsweise gedrucktes Blatt oder Bildschirmfläche abdrucken oder abbilden kann. Natürlich ist es auch möglich, die Kapazität des Seitenspeichers SSP für die Aufnahme von mehreren Ausgabeseiten auszulegen. Innerhalb der Ausgabesteuerung AS ist ein Schaltmittel SM vorgesehen, womit die Ausgabesteuerung AS von der Empfangsleitung EL abgetrennt wird, wenn der Seitenspeicher SSP nur die Kapazität einer Ausgabeseite hat, so daß keine weiteren Daten aufgenommen werden können, während ein Ausgabevorgang abläuft. Die Ausgabesteuerung AS ist in zweckmäßiger Weise über ein T-förmiges Zwischenstück Z so an die Empfangsleitungen EL angekoppelt, daß keine Beeinflussungen auftreten können.
