Gleichzeitig bildet die hochgeklappte Klapptür einen natürlichen Wetterschutz für den Monteur und die installierten Einrichtungen. Hinzu kommt, daß der erfindungsgemäße Kabelverzweigerschrank praktisch aus lediglich zwei Teilen besteht, nämlich dem Gehäusekörper und der Klapptür. Die Türverriegelung kommt ohne die sonst stets erforderliche Dreipunktverriegelung aus. Der Montageaufwand ist verhältnismäßig gering, weil lediglich zwei Scharnierstifte eingesetzt werden müssen. Aufgrund der übergreifenden Ränder im Dach- und Vorderwandbereich kann auf den Einsatz von Dichtungsprofilen verzichtet werden. Zweckmäßigerweise sind ein- oder beidseitig an der Klapptür oder am oberen Gehäuserand des Verzweigergehäuses Stützstreben angelenkt, die bei hochgeklappter Klapptür gegen den oberen Gehäuserand oder die Klapptür anstellbar, im übrigen zum Schließen der Klapptür einlegbar sind. - Um auch einen seitlichen Wetterschutz zu erreichen, lehrt die Erfindung weiter, daß die Klapptür ein- oder beidseitig auf der Innenseite ihrer frontseitigen Längsseiten Wetterschutzrollos aufweist, so daß sich rolloartig zu betätigende Vorhänge bei hochgeklappter Klapptür seitlich herunterziehen lassen.
