Abstract
A cylindrical socket (22) concentrically circumscribes a cylindrical nipple (10), whilst an annular cap has an inner dia. equal to the tube outer dia. and an outer dia. less than the inner dia. of the socket. The cap is axially located on the tube and the socket axially positioned over the tube, in radial alignment with the cap. The socket is radially deformed, in radial alignment with the cap, into engagement with the cap. This simultaneously seals the socket to the cap and radially inwardly deforms the cap into sealing engagement with the tube.
