Die Erfindung kennzeichnet sich dadurch, daß bei galvanischen Elementen mit alkalischem Elektrolyten als Depolarisator Per= manganate in fester Form für sich oder mit anderen Depolarisationsstoffen gemischt verwendet werden.Galvanic element with alkaline electrolyte. Depolarisatoren dieser Art sind an sich bekannt bei Zink-Kohle-Elementen mit Salmiäkfüllung. Während sie aber bei diesen Elementen keine besondere Verbesserung bedeuten und insbesondere nicht nennenswert zur Erhöhung der Spannung beitragen, haben sie sich .bei Elementen mit alkalischem Elektrolyten als sehr wirksam erwiesen. Man pulverisiert beispielsweise übermangansaures Kali und mischt das Pulver gleichförmig mit Graphitpulver. Die Mischung wird in der an sich bekannten Weise um die Kohleelek trode eines galvanischen Elements angeordnet und durch einen Beutel zusammengehalten. Solche Elemente mit verdicktem alkalischen Elektrolyten haben unter Verwendung von Zink-Kohle-Elektroden eine Spannung von 1,85 Volt.Depolarizers of this type are known per se for zinc-carbon elements with a Salmiäk filling.
