Description

Ärmel-Plättbrett. Die Erfindung betrifft ein Ärmel-Plättbrett, das' in bekannter Weise aus einem Grundbrett besteht, über dem das Plättbrett durch einen Mittel- und einen Endsteg derart befestigt ist, daß es mindestens zu zwei Dritteln frei liegt. Dabei ruht auf dem Mittelstege der Plättdruck, der jedoch auf den Endsteg als Zug wirkt. Dieser Zug ist besonders stark, wenn beim Plätten auf dem freiliegenden Ende des Plättbrettes dieses als langer Hebelarm wirkt gegenüber dem kurzen Brettstücke zwischen den Stegen. Der vielfach nur angenagelte oder eingeleimte Endsteg reißt vom Plätt- oder Grundbrett schon bald nach Gebrauch los, weil das Holz zusammentrocknet. Durch das heiße Plätten wird die Trocknung zudem beschleunigt und die Stege fallen heraus, wodurch das Ärmel-Plättbrett unbrauchbar wird.Sleeve flattening board.
