Das Schlitzblech α besitzt den wagerechten Längsschlitz b und außerdem einen Querschlitz d, der sich zweckmäßig nach beiden Seiten vom wagerechten Schlitz b hin erstreckt, um das Schlitzblech für Links- und Rechtsanschlagen benutzen zu können. Das Schlitzblech α kann noch mit einer senkrecht zur Türfläche stehenden Leiste k versehen sein, auf der die Kette gleitet, so daß sie nicht auf der Kante m der Tür scheuert. Diese Leiste kann aber auch gesondert an der Tür oder dem Türrahmen angebracht sein. Gemaß der Erfindung ist die Leiste k derart schräg ausgebildet, daß beim Bewegen des Knopfes g vom Loch h bis zum Ende des Schlitzes d die Kette etwas von der Tür abgedrückt wird, wodurch sie eine zusätzliche Spannung erhält.
