Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
In the patent 301100 current lead-in wires for glass vessels are specified, which essentially consist of an alloy of the metals iron, cobalt, molybdenum and tungsten, in which at least one of the first two metals mentioned is present. As is mentioned in the main patent 301100, the last three metals already mentioned in 'Small amounts have a great influence on the expansion coefficient.
Während die Drähte aus diesen Legierungen ohne Zu-It has now been found that this beneficial effect of these three metals cobalt, Tungsten and molybdenum not only differ in their alloys with iron or with each other shows, but also in their alloys with large amounts of other metals. As a result in the alloys of the main patent the iron can be more or less or completely by other metals, e.g. B. manganese, are replaced. In particular, at in its place all known alloys are used as basic substance, which approximate have the same expansion as the glass to be used. Such well-known alloys are z. B. the nickel iron and the chrome iron. If you put these two alloys small amounts of tungsten, molybdenum, or cobalt add up to make a very noticeable one Appearance noticeable. While the wires made from these alloys
After melting, a large number of small air bubbles almost regularly appear Are surrounded in the glass, the wires remain made of alloys with additions of the three metals almost completely free of bubbles. This striking effect occurs in a few Percentage of additional met all, z. B. at 5 percent. In general, however, it is better to choose an addition of about 10 percent of any of the three metals to be independent to achieve a regular good effect from the melting temperature. The effect also occurs when one takes place one of the three metals of their two or all three used.
