Description
The invention relates to a method for the preparation of sulfur from Sodium bisulfate. The invention consists in that in a known manner from sodium sulfate (ζ. B. by glowing with. Coal Sodium sulfur obtained in a flame furnace) treated with the calcination gases is used in the production of the neutral sulfate from the bisulfate in the calcination process are formed. A is particularly suitable for carrying out the method Sodium bisulfate containing carbon is useful. Sodium bisulfate according to patent 263120, which leads directly to sodium sulfate is calcinable, with sulphurous acid and. Sulfuric acid are expelled in gaseous form, which gases have so far not been used. These calcination gases are now used according to the invention Extraction of the 'sulfur from the sulphate or from the one obtained by known processes Sulfur sodium used.
Kalzinationsverfahrens gefällt, wobei durch Überschuß an schwefliger Säure desThe method according to the invention can be carried out in such a way that the black sodium bisulfate is calcined according to patent 263120. From the through the The neutral sulphate obtained calcined is produced in a known manner sodium sulphide and the solution of sodium sulphide with the condensate of the calcining gases of the above . Calcination process precipitated, with the excess of sulphurous acid des
• Kondensats erreichbar ist, daß gebildeter.• Condensate is attainable that formed.
Hydrogen sulfide immediately converted into sulfur or the formation of sulfur elwasser-. substance is avoided, so a loss of sulfur does not occur. For this reason it is advisable to use the. Sodium sulfur solution into the Enter condensate, whereby it is achieved that the precipitation of the sulfur always takes place in the presence of an excess of sulphurous acid.
If, in some cases, the sulfuric acid content of the condensate is insufficient for the precipitation the condensate with sodium bisulfate or such a solution instead of. Sulfuric acid added.
The embodiment of the method described can be implemented, for example, as follows Expressing the equation schematically:
2 Na2S+ SO2+ 2 H, SO4 2 Na 2 S + SO 2 + 2 H, SO 4
Es entsteht hier gemäß- der nachstehenden sehematisch'en Gleichung 1 Natriumthiosulfat als Zwischenprodukt, welches gemäß der nachstehenden schematischen Gleichung 2 mit der entsprechenden Schwefelnatriummenge versetzt und mit Säure bzw. anstatt mit Satire zweckmäßig mit Natriumbisulfatlösung gefällt wird, wodurch der Schwefel desThe process for the recovery of sulfur from sodium bisulfate according to the invention can also be carried out in such a way that the sodium sulphide solution instead of how to be treated earlier with the condensates of the calcination gases, in Absorption apparatus, e.g. B. absorption towers, with the calcination gases immediately is brought into reaction. It arises here in accordance with the following shemematicals Equation 1 Sodium thiosulfate as an intermediate, which is prepared according to the following Schematic equation 2 with the corresponding amount of sodium sulphide and precipitated with acid or, instead of with satire, expediently with sodium bisulfate solution is, whereby the sulfur of the
