Ink container for tattoo and permanent make-up ink

The present invention relates to an ink container, more precisely to an ink cartridge or ink cartridge, for tattoo and/or permanent make-up ink.

In current practice, when applying tattoos or permanent make-up (PMU), the color to be applied to the skin is taken from large color containers, generally large color bottles, and either applied directly to the customer's skin or filled into a PMU or tattoo pen using syringes, dropper pipettes or similar aids, which is then used to apply the tattoo. The amount of color in the bottles is significantly larger than the amount of color needed for one customer. One bottle is therefore used for several tattoos/make-up or several customers.

This procedure involves health risks for the customer. When applying tattoos and permanent make-up, decorations in the form of the desired pattern are made by piercing, scratching or hammering the skin and applying the color. This injures the customer's skin so that blood or serum can leak out. There is a risk that this body fluid can get into the hands of the person who is transferring the color from the supply color bottles.

used filling aid and is carried over into the storage bottle, so that its sterility is lost. Under these circumstances, diseases such as hepatitis or AIDS can be transmitted by using the same color and the same filling aid with several customers.

But even the prolonged storage of the paint in the relatively large storage container and the constant removal of small amounts to treat customers can, despite all precautionary measures, cause the paint to become contaminated with all kinds of dirt particles, germs and bacteria and result in a skin infection or similar in the customer. The sterility of the paint cannot therefore always be reliably guaranteed despite careful hygienic measures.

The invention therefore has the task of eliminating the above-mentioned disadvantages and of reliably guaranteeing the sterility of the color for every customer, every tattoo and every permanent make-up.

The object is achieved according to the invention in that a paint container is used which only contains as much paint as is required for one treatment. The paint container according to the invention is characterized by a container body made of a sterilizable, soft plastic material and a pipette neck connected to the container body and tightly closed by a disposable closure.

The paint containers can be manufactured with different filling volumes, preferably in sizes from about 0.1 to 10 ml. Preferably, the container body has a bulbous shape to facilitate its emptying. After filling, the containers are closed by thermal or ultrasonic welding or by fusing the pipette neck.

The material for the ink containers is preferably a thermoplastic, biocompatible plastic material that is relatively soft and elastic, so that the container can be manually emptied by squeezing and the ink can be applied directly to the customer's skin or filled into the ink container of a tattoo or PMU pen.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the paint container is

designed so that after opening it can be connected in a form-fitting manner to a tattoo or PMU pen, so that the ink is dispensed directly into the pen's ink container. For this purpose, the pipette neck is shaped in such a way that it fits into a corresponding receptacle on the housing of a tattoo or PMU pen or can be plugged onto a filler neck of the pen. In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the ink container is opened and/or emptied by the tattoo or PMU pen, for example by piercing the disposable closure when inserting it into the receptacle or plugging it onto the filler neck of the tattoo or PMU pen. The container is plugged in such a way that the ink flows automatically into the pen's ink container.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the paint containers are packaged in a medically sterilizable manner after filling and closing, and are sterilized in this packaging, preferably by radiation, and sold, shipped and stored.

The invention is explained below using exemplary embodiments. The figures show:

- Fig. 3 a PMU needle nozzle with paint container during manual filling;

- Fig. 4 a PMU pen during automatic filling.

Figure 1 shows a possible embodiment of the ink cartridge or cartridge according to the invention. The ink cartridge 1 consists of a bulbous cartridge body 2 with a pipette neck 3 formed thereon, which is closed with a tightly closing disposable closure 4. The ink cartridge 1 is made of a soft, elastic, preferably thermoplastic, biocompatible plastic material. The ink cartridge 1 can be emptied manually by squeezing the bulbous cartridge body 2. The ink can then be applied from the cartridge 1 either directly to the customer's skin or, as shown in Figures 2 and 3, filled into a tattoo or PMU needle nozzle 5 or 6, with the aid of which the tattoo ink is applied to the customer's skin.

Fig. 4 shows the tip 7 of a PMU pen with a protective cap 8 attached, which also has a receptacle 9 for the pipette neck 3 of the ink cartridge 1 for filling the PMU pen, in which the pipette neck 3 of the ink cartridge 1 is positively received. In the present example, a filling nozzle 10 is provided, onto which the pipette neck 3 of the ink cartridge 1 is attached. The disposable closure 4 can either be removed before attaching it or opened through the filling nozzle 10, for example by piercing it.

Claims (8)

1. Ink container for tattoo or permanent make-up ink, characterized by a container body ( 2 ) made of a sterilizable, soft plastic material with a filling volume suitable for a single tattoo or permanent make-up treatment, and a pipetting neck ( 3 ) connected to the container body ( 2 ) and tightly closed by a disposable closure ( 4 ). 2. Paint container according to claim 1, characterized in that the container ( 1 ) consists of a soft, thermoplastic, biocompatible plastic material. 3. Paint container according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the container body ( 2 ) is bulbous and the container ( 1 ) has a filling volume of 0.1 to 10 ml. 4. Paint container according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the container ( 1 ) is closed after filling by thermal or ultrasonic welding or by fusing the pipette neck ( 3 ). 5. Paint container according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the pipetting neck ( 3 ) and/or the disposable closure ( 4 ) is designed such that the container can be connected in a form-fitting manner to a tattoo or permanent make-up pen. 6. Ink container according to claim 5, characterized in that the pipette neck ( 3 ) and/or disposable closure ( 4 ) is designed such that the container can be opened and/or emptied by the tattoo or permanent make-up pen. 7. Paint container according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the container can be opened by separating a part of the pipette neck ( 3 ). 8. Paint container according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the container, after filling and closing, is packaged in a medically sterilizable manner and is sterilized in this packaging and stored until use.
