Erzgebirge candle arch

The invention relates to an Erzgebirge candle arch (Schwibbogen) consisting of several picture plates, with an additional interior lighting being provided. Such candle arches are already known. For example, a Schwibbbogen of the type in question is described in German utility model 296 22 470.

This consists of several fretsaw boards designed as motif elements, which are attached to a stand at a distance from each other.

A lighting device is arranged both between the fretsaw boards and on their circumference. The fretsaw boards consist of one or more candle arches.

From the German utility model 297 12 728 it is known to provide at least in the stand receptacles for the detachable fastening of design elements.

The aim of the invention described below is to further develop candle arches or Erzgebirge candle arches of the type described above technically and with a view to an improved decorative effect on the viewer.

Therefore, the task was to develop an Erzgebirge candle arch that would meet this objective. Particular attention was paid to decorative features. The Erzgebirge candle arch to be developed should be suitable for series production.

The stated problem has been solved according to the features of claim 1. Expedient embodiments are specified in the subclaims.

According to an invention, an Erzgebirge candle arch has been designed as shown below.

The main components are an arched central frame, central panels, interior and exterior images, a base, a lighting device and various parts for fastening and spacing.

The structural design is explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawing, which shows a horizontal section through an Erzgebirge candle arch according to the invention.

The reference symbols indicated in the drawing have the following meaning:

The individual picture boards, the central frame 3, the central panels 6 and the other parts are advantageously made of laminated wood, whereby different types of wood should be used in order to achieve an attractive decorative effect.

The use of other materials, such as plastic, is possible in principle, but should be rejected for aesthetic reasons.

The base 4 is conveniently made of solid wood. Grooves are incorporated into its upper side to accommodate the external pictures 1 and the central frame 3 with central panels 6 and internal pictures 2.

The center frame 3 and the center panels 6 together with the base 4 form a functional unit, which is also intended for housing the lighting equipment and as a holding element for attachments. The center frame 3 is designed as an arched plate. It has milled openings for housing the lighting fixtures of a mini light chain.

The openings should be evenly arranged in an arched shape and be decoratively designed.

The arched central frame 3 is covered on both sides with essentially full-surface central panels 6. These should extend into the corresponding groove in the top of the base and be decoratively designed on the outer surfaces.

It is proposed to apply one or more interior picture boards, although other decoration options are also possible.

The central frame 3, the central panels 6, if applicable the interior pictures 2 and the base 4 are firmly connected to each other.

The two central panels 6 are attached to the central frame 3 in such a way that they partially cover the above-described openings for the lighting fixtures. This creates receptacles for the lamp sockets 5. The cavity between the two central panels 6 is intended for the invisible accommodation of the cables. The central panels 6 have openings that are not visible from the outside for the accommodation of various molded parts 7 and 8, which serve to hold additional lamp sockets 5. The spacing and fastening of the external images 1 by means of spacers 9 on the central panels 6 is also provided.

The molded parts 7 intended to accommodate the lamp holders 5 are inserted into the openings provided on the right and left before the center panels 6 are joined together and are held in place by a positive fit. The lamp holders 5 accommodate correspondingly placed recesses in the molded parts 7.

The molded parts 8 for fastening the external images 1 can be inserted into existing slot-like openings before or after the central panels 6 are joined together. Like the molded parts 7, these also protrude from the central panels 6 by a defined amount on both sides. The overhang reveals a recess on each side for receiving the spacers 9. The latter are firmly connected to the relevant external image 1. The external images 1 can thus be attached to the central panels 6.

The external images 1 are additionally guided in an associated groove in the base.

To achieve a high decorative effect, the individual panels should be in contrasting colors. It is considered advantageous if dark materials are used for the center panels 6 and the center frame 3 and light materials are used for the outside and inside images 1 and 2.

Claims (10)

1. Erzgebirge candle arch with several picture boards, a base and an internal lighting device, the picture motifs being produced by milling out openings in laminated wood boards or the like, characterized in that the components of the central frame ( 3 ), central panels ( 6 ), base ( 4 ), interior and exterior pictures ( 2 ; 1 ), lighting device and various molded parts ( 7 ; 8 ) and spacers ( 9 ) are combined with one another in such a way that the central frame ( 3 ) and the central panels ( 6 ) together with the base ( 4 ) represent a functional unit which already has decorative features, furthermore accommodates the lighting device and is prepared for the attachment of exterior pictures ( 1 ), that the exterior pictures ( 1 ) are attached to the central panels ( 6 ) by means of molded parts ( 8 ) and spacers ( 9 ) and that the outer surfaces the central panels ( 3 ) are decoratively designed, preferably by means of interior images ( 2 ). 2. Erzgebirge candle arch according to claim 1, characterized in that the upper side of the base ( 4 ) is provided with grooves for receiving the central frame ( 3 ) with central panels ( 6 ) and optionally interior images ( 2 ) and for fixing the exterior images ( 1 ). 3. Erzgebirge candle arch according to claim 2, characterized in that the central frame ( 3 ), central panels ( 6 ) and interior pictures ( 2 ) are glued to one another and in the groove of the base ( 4 ). 4. Erzgebirge candle arch according to claim 1, characterized in that the inner and outer pictures ( 2 ; 1 ), the central frame ( 3 ), the central panels ( 6 ) are advantageously made of laminated wood, with different types of wood being used with a view to an attractive decorative effect, namely dark materials for the central panels ( 6 ) and the central frame ( 3 ) and light materials for the outer and inner pictures ( 1 ; 2 ). 5. Erzgebirge light arch according to claim 1, characterized in that the central frame ( 3 ) is designed as an arched plate, has milled, in particular decoratively designed and evenly arranged openings in an arched shape for accommodating lighting bodies of a mini light chain, and that the central frame ( 3 ) is covered on both sides with central panels ( 6 ). 6. Erzgebirge candle arch according to claims 1 and 5, characterized in that the central panels ( 6 ) are essentially full-surface plates without decorative openings, which extend into the groove in the top of the base, and that the outer sides of the central panels ( 6 ) are decoratively designed, in particular by one or more glued-on inner images ( 2 ) designed as image plates. 7. Erzgebirge candle arch according to claims 1 and 5, characterized in that the two central panels ( 6 ) are attached to the central frame ( 3 ) in such a way that they partially cover the openings for the lighting bodies, thus forming receptacles for the lamp sockets ( 5 ), and that the hollow space between the two central panels ( 6 ) is provided for the invisible accommodation of the cables. 8. Erzgebirge candle arch according to claim 1, characterized in that the central panels ( 6 ) have openings for receiving various molded parts ( 7 ; 8 ) which, on the one hand, serve to hold additional lamp sockets ( 5 ) and, on the other hand, in cooperation with spacers ( 9 ) attached to the outer frames ( 1 ), serve to space and fasten the same to the central panels ( 6 ). 9. Erzgebirge candle arch according to claim 1, characterized in that the molded parts ( 7 ) intended to accommodate the lamp holders ( 5 ) can be inserted into the openings provided for this purpose on the right and left before the central panels ( 6 ) are joined together and lock themselves in place by means of a positive fit, wherein the lamp holders ( 5 ) can be inserted into correspondingly placed recesses in the projection of the molded parts ( 7 ). 10. Erzgebirge candle arch according to claim 1, characterized in that the molded parts ( 8 ) are inserted into existing slot-like openings in the center panels ( 6 ), whereby they protrude from the center panels ( 6 ) by a defined amount on both sides and the overhang releases recesses into which spacers ( 9 ) engage, which are firmly connected to the respective outer image ( 1 ).
