Stilleinlagen werden als hygienischer Wäsche- und Hautschutz von stillenden Müttern verwendet.Nursing pads are used as hygienic underwear and skin protection by nursing mothers.
Es gibt einerseits sogenannte Einmal-Stilleinlaqen, die nach der Verwendung weggeworfen werden. Die verwendeten Materialien sind für die Oberfläche Vliese aus Zellstoff, Polyester etc. und für den Saugkern Baumwolle, Zellstoff und SAP (super absorbant polymer). Die Einmal-Stilleinlagen sind meist rund und werden zur besseren anatomischen Anpassung oft gewölbt gepreßt (vor allem Stilleinlagen ohne SAP) bzw. so gefaltet, daß nach dem Auffalten eine Wölbung erzielt werden kann (vor allem bei den besonders dünnen Stilleinlagen mit SAP). Die anatomische Anpassung erfolgt also dadurch, daß die Stilleinlage durch Verpressung und/oder nach Entfaltung dreidimensional ist. Zur besseren Fixierung im BH wird bei einigen Stilleinlagen ein Klebepunkt an der Außenseite aufgebracht.On the one hand, there are so-called disposable nursing pads that are thrown away after use.
