Die erfindungsgemäße Befestigungsvorrichtung zeichnet sich durch eine einfache Konstruktion aus und ermöglicht problemlos die Ein-Mann-Montage. Bauseitige Toleranzen können ohne weiteres ausgeglichen werden, wobei ein Ausmauern ohne Beeinträchtigung von Teilen durchgeführt werden kann. Die Befestigungsvorrichtung enthält einen im wesentlichen vertikal angeordneten Verbindungskörper und zwei beabstandet zueinander angeordnete Tragelemente, welche bei vertikaler Ausrichtung des Verbindungskörpers übereinander und im wesentlichen horizontal angeordnet sind. Das erste untere Tragelement dient zur Befestigung des Sanitärelements, während auf dem oberen Tragelement ein Spülkasten montierbar und/oder abstützbar ist. In zweckmäßiger Weise sind die beiden Tragelemente und der Verbindungskörper einteilig gefertigt. Insbesondere ist die Befestigungseinrichtung aus einer Metall- bzw. Blechplatte gefertigt, wobei die beiden Tragelemente vom Verbindungskörper im rechten Winkel, insbesondere durch Biegen, abgewinkelt sind. Das untere Tragelement weist Gewindeelemente für die Tragbolzen des Sanitärelements auf, wobei definierte Achsabstände vorgegeben sind. Mittels der beiden vertikal übereinander angeordneten Tragelemente ist der definierte Abstand zwischen Spülrohranschluß des Spülkastens und dem Spülrohrzulauf des am unteren Tragelement befestigten Sanitärelements vorgegeben. Diese Elemente 16 sind paarweise links und rechts angeordnet, wobei für unterschiedliche Lochabstände, insbesondere 180 bzw. 230 mm, vier derartige Elemente 16 vorgesehen sind. Die Gewindeelemente 16 sind auf einem ersten, unteren Tragelement 18 angeordnet, welches horizontal ausgerichetet ist. Ferner ist ein zweites oberes Tragelement 20 vorgesehen, auf welchem der Spülkasten 4 befestigt ist.
