Die Federstäbe sind in der Regel als sogenannte Fowi-Federn (Form-Wire-Federn) vorhanden, die aufgrund ihrer mäanderförmigen Anordnung ein stabiles Federungssystem bilden und dadurch den Ventilator sicher halten. Aufgrund der paarweise senkrecht zueinander orientierten ösenöffnungen sind zwar jeweils zwei der Schnappösen auf den ihnen zugeordneten Federstab-Abschnitten längsverschieblich angeordnet, eine Verschiebbarkeit des Ventilators in Längs- und Querrichtung wird aber durch diese Anordnung unterbunden. Zudem dient der 90°-Versatz der Schnappösenpaare dem Ausgleich von Herstellungstoleranzen.
