Die Erfindung betrifft ein Kissen zur Auflage für einen Kopf eines menschlichen Körpers in Bauchlage, insbesondere während einer therapeutischen Behandlung.The invention relates to a cushion for supporting the head of a human body in a prone position, in particular during a therapeutic treatment.

Eine mittige Haltung des Kopfes führt dazu, daß der Kopf zum Nacken hin geschwenkt wird und mit dem Kinn abgestützt ist, was die Atmung behindert und ein lockeres, entspanntes Liegen nicht gestattet. Um die Atmung zu erleichtern, sind daher bereits Massageliegen bekannt, die am Kopfteil eine ovale Aussparung aufweisen, so daß in der Bauchlage des Körpers der Kopf derart abgelegt ist, daß Mund und Nase frei sind und somit ungehindert Atemluft zur Verfügung steht. Bei dieser bekannten Anordnung führt die Kontur der Ovalform dazu, daß innerhalb kurzer Zeit Druckstellen 'zu spüren sind, die als unangenehm und gegebenenfalls auch schmerzhaft empfunden werden und letztendlich auch Abdrücke im Gesichtsfeld hinterlassen.In the field of physiotherapy, there are often treatments that require the body to be in a prone position. Das Kissen kann aus einem Schaumstoffkörper mit mittlerem Härtegrad bestehen, wobei vorzugsweise die Auflageflächen zur Abstützung des Kopfes aus einem gegenüber dem eigentlichen Material des Kissens härteren Schaumstoff ausgeführt sein können. Darüber hinaus ist es möglich, das Kissen aus einem Schaumstoffkern oder Latex zu bilden und mit einem überzug zu versehen, der aus Gründen der Reinigung zweckmäßigerweise leicht abnehmbar sein sollte. Hierzu ist insbesondere ein überzug mit einer durch einen Reißverschluß verschließbaren öffnung vorgesehen. Als Materialien für den überzug kommen beispielsweise Leder oder unbehandelte Baumwolle oder ein leicht abwaschbares und gegen antiseptische Mittel resistentes Kunststoffmaterial in Frage.
