Die von der Zentralstation ausgesendeten digitalisierten Daten werden in einer Empfangseinrichtung unmittelbar, wie weiter unten noch erläutert, kopiert. Sollten zur gleichen Zeit mehr Anwender einen bestimmten Beitrag wünschen, als Kopien bzw. Stücke dieses Beitrags in der Zentralstation zur Verfügung stehen, so müssen diese Anwender lediglich eine verhältnismäßig kurze Wartezeit in Kauf nehmen, die durch die Übertragung und das Kopieren der Daten an den anderen Empfangsstationen bestimmt wird.
