Description

Protective and transport container for a mobile phone

The usual protective cases for mobile phones that are currently available are made of thin, flexible material, mainly leather, synthetic leather and plastic films or a combination of these. Such protective cases are intended to protect the surface from scratches and premature wear, especially in the area of the keyboard and display.

Cyclists want to carry a mobile phone with them, e.g. to be able to call for help quickly in an emergency.

A mobile phone is sensitive to

- Impact e.g. when falling (mountain biker)

- Dust, e.g. when driving in dry areas (globetrotters, extreme bikers)

- Moisture, e.g. when driving in the rain or due to heavy sweating.

The usual protective covers do not protect against impact, dust and moisture, or only provide insufficient protection, and cannot be easily and sensibly attached to the bicycle, so that the mobile phone must be transported in a clothing pocket (e.g. jersey pocket), a backpack, a pannier bag or a similar additional container.

Other known packaging for mobile computers and similar sensitive devices (DE 91 03 849 U1; DE 92 05 261 LJ1) may offer the required protection, but are not specifically designed for mobile phones and, above all, cannot be easily attached to the bicycle.

The invention is based on the object of creating a tight and tightly sealable protective container that can be attached to a bicycle easily, quickly and safely.

This problem is solved with the features listed in claim 1

The drinking bottle holder (5) specified in claim 2 is usually designed in such a way that it can be attached with two screws either directly to the bicycle frame using the internal threads prepared for this purpose or via an adapter to other parts of the frame, to the handlebars or to the rear part of the saddle.

For the container closure specified in claim 3, all known systems can be used, such as snap-on lids, screw lids, bayonet closures. The container lid can also be connected to the main container part by a hinge.

The external shape of the outer shell (4) listed in claim 4 or its essential external dimensions preferably correspond to a bicycle drinking bottle, which enables it to be inserted into a corresponding drinking bottle holder (5) that is attached to a bicycle in the usual expedient manner.

The inner padding (6) described in claims 5 and 6 consists, for example, of at least one soft inner part, preferably foamed plastic, inserted into the outer shell, which is dimensioned such that all common mobile phones can be accommodated in an interior space (8) and can thus be transported on the bicycle protected from shocks, vibrations and impacts.

It is also possible to provide differently sized insert parts as accessories or conversion parts for different sizes of mobile phones.
As an alternative to the insert part, the outer shell (4) can also be filled with foam, preferably with a PUR soft foam.

The invention enables all cyclists, especially those who do not want to carry any additional weight on their bodies, such as racing cyclists on training rides, mountain bikers and bike couriers, to transport their mobile phone safely and easily in a conventional, standardized water bottle holder attached to the bicycle, protected from impact, dust and moisture.

Practically all common bicycles are equipped with at least two drinking bottle holders (5). If required, drinking bottle holders (5) from bicycle accessories stores can easily be retrofitted.

A further development of the invention is specified in claim 7. In order to enable or improve the perception of the mobile phone ring tone, a sound-permeable and waterproof membrane can be integrated into the outer shell (4), preferably in the ring tone sound area; possibly in conjunction with a corresponding design of the inner padding (6) in this area.

A membrane in the container lid (2) enables two versions using a removable cover: with or without a membrane, depending on the application.

A further advantageous embodiment of the invention is specified in claim 8. The lockable connection to the bicycle is intended to prevent or make it more difficult to steal the mobile phone.

The lockable container lid (2) specified in protection claim 9 also serves to protect against theft and also prevents the container from opening accidentally during transport.

The antenna specified in claim 10 ensures or improves the reception of signals during protected transport. The antenna is connected to the mobile phone using a standard plug connection for an external antenna. The antenna can be part of the container's outer wall (7) or can be located outside, with the opening through the outer shell (4) for the connecting cable being watertight.

The design of the container outer wall (7) as a bicycle holder specified in claim 11 enables the container to be directly and firmly connected to the bicycle frame without an additional bicycle holder.

Container of a mobile phone to protect against external influences that negatively affect the functional reliability of the mobile phone, characterized in that the container is adapted in its outer contour to an inner contour of a bicycle holder that the container is moisture-repellent when closed and that the container completely surrounds the mobile phone when closed. 2. Container according to claim 1, characterized in that the bicycle holder is a known drinking bottle holder (5). 3. Container according to claim 1 or characterized in that the container consists of two parts, namely a main container part (1) and a container lid (2) and that the main container part (1) can be firmly closed with the container lid (2), if necessary using a seal (3) and a hinge. 4. Container according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the container has an outer shell (4) made of a dimensionally stable, impact-resistant material, preferably plastic, metal, carbon fiber. 5. Container according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that an inner padding (6) is inserted into the container, which on the one hand is adapted to the outer contour of the mobile phone in a largely form-fitting manner and on the other hand rests against the inner contour of the outer shell. 6.
