Description

The present invention relates to a sliding door for air-conditioned rooms, e.g. for cold storage rooms, and/or for rooms with a high standard of hygiene, comprising an upper guide rail that can be fixed on the building side and a door leaf that is equipped with rollers or gliders in its upper edge area and is suspended from the guide rail via these rollers or gliders and can be moved along this guide rail from a closed position to an open position and vice versa.

Sliding doors of the aforementioned type are known per se. Sliding doors of this type have to meet a wide range of requirements, with relatively easy handling on the one hand and easy cleaning on the other hand being outstanding requirements.

The present invention is based on the object of creating a sliding door of the aforementioned type, which is easy to clean, particularly in the visible guide rail area, and has an attractive appearance.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the guide rail consists of a tube with a circular or almost circular cross-section and a longitudinal slot open towards the door leaf side, which is provided with at least one longitudinal edge

a guide web protruding into the interior of the pipe to support the rollers or the gliders and that at least two brackets connected to the pipe are provided to fix the guide rail to a building wall, which are also circular or almost circular in cross-section.

This design of the guide rail area brings with it various advantages.

On the one hand, cleaning the sliding door, especially in the guide rail area, is made easier by the fact that only round or largely round profiles are used, which are particularly easy to clean using high-pressure cleaners, for example. There are practically no corners, undercuts or other profiles on which dirt residues can get stuck or become lodged.

At the same time, the entire sliding door is given a very pleasing appearance by using a guide rail with a circular or almost circular cross-section.

Further features of the invention are the subject of subclaims.

The sliding door shown in Figure 1 in an overall view and designated overall by the reference number 1 essentially comprises an upper guide rail 2 and a door leaf 3 which is guided so as to be displaceable along this guide rail 2.

The sliding door 1, which is intended in particular for air-conditioned rooms, e.g. for cold rooms, and/or for rooms with high hygiene standards, should be particularly easy to clean, this applies in particular to the area of the guide rail 2.

In order to achieve this goal, the guide rail 2 consists essentially of a tube that is circular or almost circular in cross-section and is provided with a longitudinal cut 5 that is open towards the door leaf side and that has a guide web 6 that projects into the interior of the tube on one of its longitudinal edges. To fix the guide rail 2 to a building wall 7, several zones 8 are provided, which are firmly connected to the tube 4 on the one hand and are fixed to a frame 20 on the other, which is attached as a whole to a building wall 7. This construction enables pre-assembly of the frame 20 and the guide rail 2, so that the entire frame 20 with the pre-assembled guide rail 2 can be attached to the building side.

This significantly simplifies assembly on site.

The brackets 8 are also circular or almost circular in cross-section, as can be clearly seen in Figure 2.

The described design of the guide rail 2 on the one hand and the brackets 8 on the other hand creates an overall easy-to-clean shape in the guide rail area, as there are practically no dirt corners or other areas in which impurities or dirt could adhere. The guide rail 2 and the brackets 8 can be cleaned easily and reliably using known high-pressure cleaners.

' The door leaf 3 is equipped with rollers 9 in its upper edge area both in the left and right corner areas, by means of which the entire door leaf 3 is suspended on the guide web 6 of the guide rail 2.

As Figures 7 and 8 in particular make clear, stoppers 10 are provided at the ends of the guide rail 2 to slow down the sliding movement of the door leaf 3 in its two possible end positions. Furthermore, Figure 8 clearly shows that the guide web 6 has bevels 11 sloping towards the door leaf 3 at the distance between the rollers 9 attached to the door leaf 3, along which the rollers 9 and thus also the door leaf 3 are lowered downwards in the closed position. When the door leaf 3 opens, it is immediately raised in accordance with the inclination of the bevels 11, whereby the advantage resulting from this design will be explained in more detail.

As can be seen from Figures 4, 5 and 10, the door leaf 3 is equipped with sealing profiles 12 both in the upper edge area and in the lateral, vertical edge area, to which corresponding sealing strips 13 on the building side are assigned.

The sealing profile located in the upper edge area of the door leaf 3 rests against the associated sealing strip 13 over its entire length when the sliding door is closed, the same also applies to the sealing profiles 12 and sealing strips 13 arranged in the vertical edge area. Since the door leaf 3 is immediately raised by the bevels 11 in the area of the guide web 6 during the opening process, it is not necessary to move the door leaf 3 along the contact point between the upper sealing profile 12 on the one hand and the associated sealing strip 13 on the other hand, since the sealing profile 12 immediately moves slightly upwards relative to the associated sealing strip 13 during the opening process and thus becomes free. The same applies to an adjustable sealing strip 14 arranged in the lower edge area of the door leaf 3, which, in the closed state, rests on guide parts 15 fixed at floor level on the frame 20, which simultaneously serve as a floor-side guide for the door leaf 13. Guide bar 6 is advantageously formed from a solid round bar that is firmly connected to the tube 4. This round bar makes the tube 4 extremely strong and stiff. The area of the tube 4 facing the front of the door leaf 3 does not have a load-bearing function, but merely a covering function for the guide area.

In the embodiment shown, the door leaf 3 is equipped with rollers. Such a solution is particularly advantageous for heavy or large door leaves. As a departure from this, it is also conceivable to provide corresponding guides for suspending and guiding the door leaf 3 instead of rollers 9.

Claims (1)

Protection claims Sliding door for air-conditioned rooms, e.g. for cold rooms, and/or for rooms with a high hygiene standard, comprising an upper guide rail which can be fixed on the building side and a door leaf which is equipped with rollers or gliders in its upper edge region and is suspended from the guide rail via these rollers or gliders and can be moved along this guide rail from a closed position to an open position and vice versa, characterized in that the guide rail (2) consists of a tube (4) which is circular or almost circular in cross section and has a longitudinal slot (5) which is open towards the door leaf side and which is provided at least on one longitudinal edge with a guide web (6) which projects into the interior of the tube to support the rollers (9) or the gliders, and that at least two brackets (8) connected to the tube (4) are provided for fixing the guide rail (2) to a building wall, which brackets (8) are also circular or almost circular in cross section. Sliding door according to claim 1, characterized in that the brackets (8) are fastened to a frame (20) which in turn can be fixed on the building side.
