The invention relates to a lining frame for a door or window, prefabricated from wood material and/or plastic, consisting of two vertically aligned upright parts and at least one cross-section connected at both ends to one upright part end via a corner connection. The upright parts consist of a lining board that rests on the inside of the door jamb and - as cladding - of two cladding strips that cover an assembly joint on both sides and are connected to the lining board via a tongue and groove.

In a lining frame according to the state of the art, _lining boards are connected without using a mitre, i.e. they are placed at right angles at the ends. This type of construction is not aesthetically satisfactory and is therefore not used by

rejected by many customers.

However, it is also known to produce mitered corner joints using conventional technology. With prefabricated lining frames, however, the problem is that corner overhangs can easily occur due to the lining boards being moved relative to one another, so that exact alignment in the miter area can no longer be maintained, especially with inaccurate reveals. This is particularly true if personnel who are not trained in joinery and carpentry are used to assemble such lining frames.

],g The task therefore arises of specifying a lining frame that is prefabricated from the aforementioned parts and in which the corner connection can be produced optically perfectly even by less well-trained personnel and even under unfavourable local conditions in the mitre area, if the lining frames are contoured on their edge in the visible area and are made of a uniform profile material.

This task is solved with a lining frame of the type mentioned at the beginning, which is characterized in that the mitered corner connection of the lining boards is designed as a partial miter, in which compatible, mutually perpendicular stop surfaces of the lining boards are provided, which are invisible from the outside when the upright parts and cross parts are put together, so that in the corner connection, adjustment of the ends of the lining boards to a corner overhang is excluded and a decorative profile consisting of the cladding strips and the contoured lining edge can be produced continuously through the miter area.

It should be noted that doors usually only have

two post parts and a cross part are used as a lintel, while windows also have a window sill as a cross part. However, it is not unusual for doors to also use floor boards in the above-mentioned manner.

The cladding strips are also contoured, but the problem of corner adjustment and corner overhang does not arise here, since these parts can be brought together precisely in a mitre cut if the lining boards are precisely aligned.

Individual designs of the partial mitres are claimed in the subclaims and are explained using the following drawing description.

Figures 1 and 6 show a corner area of a lining frame for a door made of wood material, here chipboard with veneer. The lining frame has, as usual, vertically aligned upright parts 1 and 1' and a cross part 2 connected at both ends to one end of the upright part via a miter 40.

The column parts and the cross part 1, 1', 2 are each

composed of three parts, namely a lining board 3, 3', 4 which is attached to the inside of the door jamb (not shown) and - as cladding - of ₁ g two cladding strips 3.1, 4.1 and, opposite, 3.1' and 4.1' which cover an assembly joint (not shown) on both sides and are connected to the lining board via groove 27 and tongue 27'.

2Q According to customer requirements, the lining boards 3, 3',4 are contoured on their lining edge, whereby a simple curve is assumed here for the sake of simplicity. Deviating decorative polishes can also be selected. The contouring is located exclusively

2g finally in the visible area and ends at the groove 27. As can be seen, the two lining boards cannot simply be placed abutting on top of each other if the contoured lining edge 7 is not to be interrupted in its profile. It is therefore necessary to

As Figure 1 shows, a special type of mitre is provided, namely a so-called partial mitre 20, which, however, is only used in the area of the lining board.

_oc has been chosen, since by adjusting the ends it

can easily lead to a corner overhang in the mitre area. As the section in Figure 1 shows, in contrast to the 45" angle of the mitre cut, two additional

mutually perpendicular stop surfaces 5.1 and 5.2 are created, to which corresponding stop surfaces 5.1' and 5.2' are compatible. These stop surfaces, which are only present on a part of the thickness of the lining board miter, allow the two lining boards 3 and 4 to be placed clearly and fixedly against one another, whereby a 45° miter cutting line can still be seen in the field of vision.

Figure 6 therefore does not show such partial mitres, since they are not visible from the outside.

Figures 2a and 2b, when placed side by side -c, show that the partial mitre cuts

two surfaces 5.1 and 5.1' that can be placed on top of each other are created. The same applies to the two compatible surfaces 5.2 and 5.2'. In the area of the profiling, however, the 45' miter cuts meet exactly, so _that no partial miter surfaces need to be milled here.

The cladding strips required for the complete cladding 3.1, 4.1 as well as 3.1' and 4.1' can be made compatible by 45" cuts in the miter area. Since they are fitted into the groove 27 with the tongue 27' and can be moved there, there are no problems with the arrangement exactly in the miter cut when the lining boards are precisely aligned.

The partial mitre 20 thus meets the requirement that, in projection onto the frame plane, it extends from an inner corner point El of the corner connection to a corner point E2 located within the corner connection, as can also be seen from Figure 1.

A similar design is shown in Figures 3a and 3b.

Here the mitre cut is interrupted over the bends of the lining board, so that stop surfaces 5.2

and 5.2' and 5.3, while in the front part of the miter cut the miter is divided and has two inclined surfaces 21. The partial miter therefore only has a minimum depth TM, which is greater than the groove depth TN on the visible side 30 of the lining board 3, 3', 4, whereby this has been measured along the width B of the lining board 2.

I Q In Figures 4a and 4b, a partial mitre has been chosen which consists of two surfaces which are not perpendicular to one another, namely a 45" surface 23 and a horizontal stop surface 5.4, with which a stop surface 5.4' is compatible. This type of cut extends over the entire width of the lining board and ends at the groove 27. The section according to Figure 4b shows that this is a stop on which the cross part can be placed from above and finds a precisely defined locking surface arrangement.

Finally, the embodiment according to Figure 5a,

The variety of possible embodiments _that can be carried out according to the characterizing part of claim 1 is not exhausted. The person skilled in the art will be aware of other possibilities that also fall under the protection claim.
